ONTARIO SECONDARY SCHOOL LITERACY TEST (OSSLT) & EQAO ACCOMMODATIONS
Students may receive accommodations on government assessments, such as the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test and the Grade 9 EQAO math test, provided that they have an Individual Education Plan (IEP) that outlines that these accommodations are necessary for and consistent with regular classroom practices used for the student. The
student must normally receive these accommodations for all forms of assessment, including summative assessments, and not only for provincial tests.
Permitted accommodations include adjustments to the environment in which the assessment is written, adjustments to the time allotted for the assessment, adjustments to the format of the assessment, as well as, adjustments to the format of student responses.
